Nic

Nic brings eight years of personal training experience and a background in Kinesiology to the BFT Eastern coaching team. He is passionate about making fitness approachable for people who may not consider themselves the “gym type,” including beginners, older adults, individuals navigating injuries or physical limitations, and those managing neurological conditions or recovering from strokes and brain injuries. Nic’s coaching approach has been shaped by his own experiences rebuilding after an ACL tear at 16 and a hip labrum injury at 22. These setbacks inspired him to deepen his knowledge of corrective exercise and mobility training while developing a genuine understanding of the patience and persistence required to return to movement. His coaching style is honest, patient, and adaptable, with a focus on taking ownership, staying humble, and pursuing progress over perfection. Outside the studio, Nic volunteers as a Big Brother—one of the most rewarding parts of his life. He also enjoys travelling, cooking, and reading about history, philosophy, and psychology. His curiosity about training, mindset, resilience, and personal growth led him to create the Trainer’s Wisdom podcast, a natural extension of the work he does every day.
